WAYS TO GIVE

Give to the Annual Fund:

Give to the Annual Fund. Resident rents and fees cover most of our operating budget. Keeping rents as low as possible results in a gap between our rental income and the cost of offering high-quality, free programs and services to all our residents of all income levels. The Annual Fund also supplements the capital budget for items such as beds, elevators, landscaping, etc.

The SHARE Fund (Support Housing Assistance at The Redwoods):

Give to assist residents who have outlived their resources or cannot afford an unexpected expense, like a hearing aid, dental bill, special bathtub, etc. This special assistance allows our residents to remain at The Redwoods and part of the community. As long as The Redwoods has any funds available, a resident may continue to receive rental assistance until they no longer need to.

In Memory and In Honor Of:

Honor someone special or memorialize someone who has passed with your gift. The Redwoods will send a letter to the family or honoree to let them know of your generosity.

Donate online or contact our Fund Development office at (415) 383-2741

Including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting gift to The Redwoods and your community.

You can leave a bequest to The Redwoods by adding to an existing will or drafting a new one. Make a gift of a stated dollar amount, specific property, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after distributions to other beneficiaries.

In doing so you leave a legacy to The Redwoods and your community, yet preserve and enjoy assets you might need during your lifetime. Plus, the assets distributed to The Redwoods are exempt from estate tax. We recommend that you consult with your tax advisor or planning professional.

For more information about how your charitable bequest, or other planned giving options, can benefit The Redwoods contact our Fund Development office. Call: (415) 383-2741
